Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park
A hidden gem in Waipahu, Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park is a gorgeous stretch of land that’s perfect for hiking and exploring. It’s also a great place to do some bird watching. Here you’ll find more than 300 species of native birds, including the endangered Hawaiian hawk.
The park has two main trails: the three-mile round-trip hike to Ka Iwi State Scenic Shoreline and the five-mile round-trip hike to Pu’u Keka’a, which offers panoramic views of Pearl Harbor. You can also take advantage of the park’s picnic areas and beach access.
Swanzy Beach Park
Swanzy Beach Park is a great place to spend the day at. It has a wide beach and is popular with locals. The beach is known for its high surf and strong currents, so it’s not recommended for swimming, but there are still plenty of other fun things to do here. There is a large lawn where you can picnic or play Frisbee with your friends.
There are also volleyball courts and basketball courts on the lawn if you want to get in some exercise while you’re there. Kualoa A Regional Park
Kualoa A Regional Park is a beautiful park located in the Koolaupoko District of Oahu. The park is about 12 miles from Waipahu and offers beautiful scenery and great places to hike. This park is known for its great views of the mountains and ocean, as well as its beautiful hiking trails.
If you’re looking for an easy hike, you can start at the Kualoa Ranch House and follow the trail down to the beach. You’ll pass through several different ecosystems along this route, including coastal scrubland and native forest. If you want to go on a longer hike, there are many different options within this park that will take you through different parts of Oahu.
