The 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz is powered by a single electric motor that produces 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque, delivering strong performance for a rear-wheel-drive setup. Paired with an 82-kilowatt-hour battery, of which 77 kilowatt-hours are usable, this powertrain provides the capability needed for both city and highway driving. Volkswagen has also announced plans to offer a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version in the future, which will add even greater versatility and performance.
Performance
The ID. Buzz delivers balanced performance, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in about 10 seconds, ideal for daily driving. Its top speed is electronically limited to 90 mph for added safety. With an estimated range of up to 263 miles on the WLTP cycle, the ID. Buzz is well-suited for longer journeys. Fast charging lets the battery go from 5% to 80% in around 30 minutes at 170-kilowatt DC stations. The ID. Buzz also supports bi-directional charging for vehicle-to-home power transfer and includes a regenerative braking system with multiple recuperation modes for improved efficiency.
Interior
The interior of the 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz combines comfort and sustainability, seating up to five passengers with up to 137.7 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are folded. A 10-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch infotainment touchscreen provide easy access to navigation and entertainment. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keep you connected while the ID.
