Trim Levels (Exterior):
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is available in five trims: the SE, SE with technology, SEL, SEL R-line Black, and SEL Premium R-line. It sports a striking exterior with a long graceful profile, wide stance, and sleek lines and is equipped with black roof rails, body-colored bumpers, and black grille moldings with chrome accents. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels w/ all-season tires, LED headlights, taillights, daytime running lights, rain-sensing variable intermittent front wipers, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals. It is available in seven exterior colors: platinum Gray Metallic, Aurora Red Metallic, Racing Green Metallic, Pyrite Silver Metallic, Tourmaline Blue Metallic, Deep Black Pearl, and Pure White. Available upgrades include 20-inch alloy wheels, poor weather lights, and a power moonroof.
Engine (Power)
Two engines are available for the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas: a 235-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 258 pound-feet of torque and a 276-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 266 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Available in front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas comes with a Tiptronic eight-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive that can go from zero to 60 in under 8.5 seconds. It has a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. Fuel efficiency is an estimated 21/22/24 city/highway/combined MPG. With AWD, the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas can switch between four different drive modes, from snow mode to off-road mode.
Interior
The interior of the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is mindfully designed for maximum space, comfort, and convenience. There is seating for seven with heated front seats, a 60/40 split-folding 2nd row with a 50/50 split-folding 3rd row, eight-way power adjustable driver seat with a four-way manual adjustable passenger seat, and V-Tex Leatherette seating surfaces.
