2022 Volkswagen Atlas

The 2022 Volkswagen Atlas is available in six trims: SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL R-Line Black, and SEL Premium R-Line. The SE comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a power liftgate. The SE with Technology adds 20-inch wheels and a hands-free power liftgate. On the SEL R-Line, you get dark gray 20-inch wheels and sporty bumpers. SEL R-Line Black goes for a blacked-out exterior, including a black grille, black mirror caps, black badges, and glossy black 20-inch wheels. Finally, the SEL Premium R-Line upgrades your ride to 21-inch wheels and power-folding mirrors.

There are two engine choices based on trim level. The SE, SE with Technology, and SEL trims have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Your second option is a 3.6-liter V-6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission that gets 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the SEL and Premium R-Line models and is available on the SE with Technology and SEL.

The Atlas has many performance-enhancing features, sure to please any driver. The SE and SE with Technology come standard with front-wheel drive. Beginning with the SEL trim, you get the bonus of standard all-wheel drive to take on any road condition, in any weather. The start-stop system turns off the engine automatically when your Atlas is idling, increasing the fuel economy of the Atlas. You also get electromechanical power steering complete with variable assistance to give you greater control. The SEL and higher trims also offer active control, which improves traction in slippery, hilly, or uneven road conditions.

Moving inside the cabin of the Atlas, you'll find a roomy interior with many comfort and convenience features. Your driving experience is enhanced by heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. Enjoy your music on a six-speaker audio system and a 6.5-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the SE with Technology adds three-zone automatic climate control to keep you and all your passengers happy with customizable temperatures. You'll also get a wireless charging pad, second and third-row USB ports, and an upgraded 8-inch touch screen. The SEL R-Line features the R-Line interior trim, while the SEL R-Line Black continues the black-out styling with an all-black interior. The SEL Premium R-Line features ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, and a 12-speaker premium audio system for a true stereo sound experience.

Standard safety and driver-assistance features include rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitor, forward collision mitigation, and an advanced airbag system.
